Digital policies are set to run for 12 months, and therefore the end term dates can't be amended. However if a new renewal date is required you can cancel mid term and reissue a new policy.
In order to process a cancellation, please email us with the policy number, client’s name and reason for cancellation. Within 5 working days you'll receive a cancellation letter detailing the return premium. If you require the details immediately, contact our underwriters on 0800 051 8001 or via live chat.
We’re able to consider risks where the bankruptcy has been discharged for 5 years or more, depending on the individual circumstances. You can discuss this with one of our underwriters by contacting our self-serve team on via live chat.
Digital policies can't be reinstated. If you've not renewed the policy then a new policy will have to be incepted from today at current rates and acceptance criteria. If you're looking for us to backdate cover, we'll need you to create a new quote with effect from today and contact our underwriters on 0800 051 8001 for authorisation. We'll also need confirmation in writing that the client wanted to go ahead, proof of payment from the client, and confirmation of no claims/incidents from renewal until now. If you don’t accept the policy renewal online ahead of its expiry date, the policy won't automatically renew and will lapse, which may leave your clients without cover.
Tree felling and tree surgeon aren't acceptable trades/activities. Gardener trades are acceptable, but all have an exclusion for tree felling or lopping (other than the pruning of bushes, shrubs or hedges).
Gutter cleaning and roof cleaning as specialist activities aren't acceptable. The trade of Guttering and Fascia Board Installation shouldn't be used for these activities.

Certain trades will have further exclusions shown by endorsement. To check the endorsements that will apply, please submit a quote for the appropriate trade(s) and view the documentation where all endorsements will be noted.
We offer Professional Indemnity as an extension for some of our professional trades on this product. However, if the system automatically removes this section, it means that Professional Indemnity isn't available for the trade you've selected. Alternatively, we've a digital Professional Indemnity Combined product which caters for a wide range of trades and professions where you may be able to obtain cover through a separate quote.
The installation of boilers is permitted if the trade is noted as plumbing and heating. Within the questions set you’ll be asked about gas work - please ensure this is answered correctly, as your response will be recorded on the Statement of fact. Work in connection with industrial boilers or pipe work, ducting, ventilation, extraction or similar systems used for industrial purposes is excluded. We would generally regard any boiler with over 100kw output power as industrial.
We regularly review our pricing models to ensure our premiums remain competitive. However, we may be willing to negotiate some premium movement on larger cases where the risk has run well. Please contact our underwriters in our self-serve online team by calling 0800 051 8001 or using live chat.
This will depend on the activities involved. The cleaning of building exteriors, including roofs and gutters, is unacceptable. The spray painting of building exteriors is also excluded.
